Visited on a Saturday lunch. The restaurant opens at 12:00 and at 11:45 a small queue was already forming . The dim sum next door also had a long queue
I quickly went online and reserved a 12:00 table via book a table website whilst standing in the queue lol
In the window the dumpling dough is prepared so that was interesting whilst waiting
Once inside we found the wooden chairs uncomfortable as they have no backs but not really a problem just a small thing
The set meal b had all our favourites at £22 crispy seaweed ribs prawn toast duck pancakes sweet sour pork chicken cashew nuts chilli prawns and rice
We couldn't come without trying dumpling so ordered the seafood special to share £3.50 perhaps the signature dish should be on the specials
Soft drinks served with a straw in the can and only house wine available by the glass a 10% tip is added to the bill
Service quick staff dashing about first courses arrived 10 minutes then about 20 mins for the final courses whole visit lasted about 1 hour
Full restaurant with people waiting for a free table
Food in Chinatown can be often disappointing but not here. This is the restaurant we keep coming back to.
There is usually a queue to get in, but this moves quickly. Not swish inside, but the food is excellent. The prices are good; three of us had starters, mains, rice and drinks and the bill was a reasonable £57 which included a 10% service charge.
